The Union of Students in Ireland has launched a #VoterMotor campaign to get the student vote out.
The purpose of the campaign is to encourage people to carpool to insure everyone is able to make their way to the nearest polling stations this Friday.
People can use hashtag #VoterMotor on Twitter to advertise free spaces or get in touch with those offering a lift.
USI are also advertising various ways of getting to the polling stations on their website.
The president of the Union, Laura Harmon, was at the launch:
"We really need to make sure that students turn-out, because we know that they are predominantly very in favor of marriage equality."
"If you are driving and there are people in your area that need a lift to the polling station then it makes sense to go together and vote together."
Uber and Hailo are also offering a free service on Friday to get people to their closest polling stations all over the country.
