Gardai are continuing to question two men and have broken up what they believe to be a sophisticated online drug dealing network on the southside.
Drugs worth €180,000 were seized along with encrypted computers and other items during the search of two buildings Wednesday afternoon.
Dark-net markets can't be accessed using a normal browser.
They sit on an encrypted part of the internet and are extremely difficult for police agencies to track down the people who use them.
As a result, they've become a very popular home for whistleblower websites and a natural place for drugs to be sold online.
On Wednesday as part of an international drug trafficking investigation into these online markets, Gardai raided a building on South Circular Road where it’s believed an Irish vendor was operating from.
Ecstasy and LSD worth €180,000 were seized as well as computers which stored the 'crypto-currency' Bitcoin.
More drugs and documents in relation to off shore bank accounts were found during a follow up search in Harolds Cross.
Two men were arrested as part of the investigation and they're being questioned at Kevin St and Kilmainham Garda Stations.
