Two men have been arrested after a local shop was held up this morning.
The men were armed when they threatened a female worker who was forced to hand over some cash.
The front door of the shop was damaged, but no shots were fired and nobody was hurt.
Gardai from Raheny and Clontarf Garda stations arrested the men in their 20s at a nearby building a short time later.
The recovered gun will be sent to Garda headquarters for a ballistic examination.
The suspects have been taken to Clontarf Garda station where they can be held for questioning up to seven days.
