A man has died and another is critical after a workplace accident in Portmarnock.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Drumnigh Woods at about 2 o'clock this afternoon.
Drain Tech staff had been working on a sewerage system at Drumnigh Woods in Portmarnock when the incident happened.
Emergency services were called and several fire tenders and units of Gardaí attended the scene.
One man has died, another is critical, and a number of fire officers have been taken to hospital after being overcome by fumes.
However their injuries are not believed to be serious.

A Gardaí investigation has been launched while the Health and Safety Authority is sending inspectors to the scene.
