The trial of a man accused of stabbing a father of two to death in Cabra is due to begin hearing evidence today.

Alan Harte with an address at Claireville Grove, Glasnevin denies murdering Pater Gunn five years ago.

29-year-old Peter Gunn was last on a night out with friends in the north inner city on January 4th 2009.

His body was found dumped in a ditch at the back of Dublin airport 11 days later.

Alan Harte stands accused of murdering Mr. Gunn at a flat in Cabra Park on the date of his disappearance.

A jury was sworn in yesterday and they're due to begin hearing evidence today in a trial that's due to finish by the end of next week.
