Gardai are investigating the cause of death of a teenager outside a city centre nightclub.
The 18 year old girl collapsed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The young woman named locally as Ana Hick from Dalkey had been out with her friends at the Twisted Pepper on Middle Abbey Street on Friday night.
However she collapsed at around 3am on Saturday morning outside the club and was rushed to the Mater hospital.
The 18 year old died there yesterday evening.
Gardai are investigating if she took a form of Ecstasy and toxicology tests will be carried out as part of the post mortem.
The Twisted Pepper has issued a statement offering its condolences to her family and says it's co-operating with the authorities.
