Tourist in serious condition after falling from cliffs at Howth

A man, who's believed to be a tourist, remains in a serious condition in hospital, after falling from cliffs at Howth in Co Dublin.

The incident happened at around five o'clock yesterday evening at Lions Head.

The man had fallen 150 feet to the beach below.

A male teenager who was with him, fell around 20 feet down the cliff.

He was less seriously hurt.

They were both winched to safety aboard the Coast Guard helicopter based at Dublin Airport.

The man who's badly hurt was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

The Coast Guard reminds people to stay to the cliff path and if the public see someone in danger to immediately call the Coast Guard at 112/ 999.
