Cork woman Joanne O'Riordan has been honoured in Japan.
The disability campaigner has been chosen as one of ten Junior Chamber International Outstanding Young Persons of the World for 2015.
Judges say Joanne has become a global voice for the disabled and a national symbol of hope.
She received the award today for her contribution to children and human rights.
