Today marks ten years since the disappearance of Dublin teenager Amy Fitzpatrick.
The 15 year old from Firhouse went missing from the Costa del Sol on New Year's Day 2008 as she was walking home from her friend’s house.
Amy spent the night with friends in Riviera del Sol near Fuengirola and was last seen leaving there at around 10pm on New Year’s night.
Amy, who was just 15 at the time, had moved to Spain with her mum Audrey. Her disappearance remains a mystery and Spanish police haven’t been able to determine what happened to her.
It’s been difficult few years for the Fitzpatrick family. Amy’s older brother, Dean, was stabbed to death in 2013. Their step-dad David Mahon was convicted of his manslaughter.
