Gardai are asking consumers not to buy drink from unlicensed suppliers or in other words, off the back of a truck.
It's after two men armed with iron bars stole thousands of cases of spirits from a warehouse in Ballyfermot last month and made their getaway in two 40 foot trucks.
Vast quantities of Jameson whiskey, Bombay Sapphire Gin and Jack Daniel's Bourbon were taken in the raid on the Parkwest industrial Estate on Friday the 14th of November between 3 and 4 am.
Gardaí believe the stolen alcohol will be offered for sale in the run up to Christmas and they are asking the public to contact them if they're offered spirits from anyone other than licensed suppliers of alcohol.
