The Notorious has done it.
Conor McGregor is the new UFC Interim Featherweight Champion.
Despite being on his back for the majority of the first two rounds, McGregor defeated Chad Mendes in the last ten seconds of the second round.
He will now face Jose Aldo when the Brazilian recovers from injury to reunify the Featherweight belt.
An exhausted McGregor had this to say:
Cathal Pendred and Neil Seery both lost their respective bouts on points.
