The Irish Oscars, the IFTA's, were on in Dublin last night

Irish film and TV royalty were out in force in Dublin last night for the IFTAs.

The films Calvary, Byzantium and Philomena were the big winners on the night with three awards each.

Love Hate missed out on best TV drama to Northern Irish crime series The Fall.

The Fall also won best music and best TV actor for Jamie Dornan

Cavalry took home the prizes for best film, best script and best actor for Brendan Gleeson.

Best actress went to Saoirse Ronan for Vampire thriller Byzantium while Kerry Man Michael Fassbender won best Supporting actor for 12 Years A Slave.

After missing out on an Oscar Philomena took the IFTA for best international film.
