The old Tayto factory in Coolock is to be turned into a funeral home and hearse depot.
It's understood Dublin City Council has given planning permission to Staffords to develop a new HQ there. A section of the factory as it stands will be revamped to provide room for four chapels, resting rooms and space for a florist.
Tayto pulled out of Coolock back in 2005 with the loss of 100 jobs.
