AirBnB seams like an easy way to make an extra few bob but beware, revenue is watching you.

People renting out rooms to holidaymakers on the site have been warned that the taxman is monitoring the company's website to ensure they're paying tax.

Around 4 and a half thousand Irish homes are listed on the site from castles to caravans.

This is double the amount of properties that were available last summer.

Renters are being advised that they should be declaring their rental income for tax purposes and keep a record of any expenses.

Those renting rooms may also be liable for capital gains tax if they sell a private property that has previously been rented out.

O'Devaney Gardens is in line for an overhaul to house the homeless, more here.
