Taoiseach Heads To US For Paricks Day

The Taoiseach is beginning the annual government visit to the US for St. Patrick's Day today.

He'll begin his trip in Washington D.C. where he'll meet with a number of business leaders in the Irish/American community.

The Taoiseach's first engagement is a speech at the US Chamber of Commerce.  

Enda Kenny will highlight government policy with regard to Ireland's economic recovery, emphasising also, Ireland's strengths as a location for foreign direct investment.

He is due to meet with President Obama at the White House on Friday morning, followed by an address at the Speakers Lunch on Capital Hill and then the traditional Shamrock Presentation Ceremony.

He'll then fly to Boston and New York to meet with the newly-elected mayors of each city.
