A new poll shows the Tánaiste is facing a battle to save her own seat in Dublin West.

A recent poll of voters in the Dublin West Constituency shows the Labour leader has just 10% support. That is less than half of her 2011 result.

Fine Gael's Leo Varadkar and Sinn Fein's Paul Donnelly are neck and neck on 20%.

Fianna Fail's Jack Chambers is on 17% Ruth Coppinger of the Anti-Austerity Alliance is on 15% followed by Labour's Joan Burton on 10%.

The Millward Browne survey of 520 voters in today's Irish Independent was carried out between 5th and 8th February.

Based on these figures, the Táiniste will be relying on the transfers from Minister Leo Varadkar to get her seat back. Nearly one in three voters in Dublin West, are happy with the Health Minister's work while in office. Whereas Ms Burton is taking the heat in west Dublin for unpopular government decisions like the introduction of water charges.

When voters were asked which party could be most trusted to manage the economy, Fine Gael came out on top.
