Carrickmines residents will meet official from Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council today over a proposed halting site beside their homes.

It's their 7th time to sit down to talks over emergency accommodation for the survivors of the Carrickmines fire.

Resident of Rockville Drive off Glenamuck Road have objected to housing survivors of the fire beside their homes since the tragedy on October 10th.

They say a one acre council owned field next door is not suitable to locate the 15 people left homeless as a result of the blaze that killed 10 people.

Tomorrow the survivors have to move out of the place they have been staying since the blaze.

The council hopes to come to a compromise with locals before then.

Meanwhile 4 year old Thomas Connors who was injured in the fire is being released from hospital today.

He will be cared for by his grandparents and extended family after losing his parents in the blaze.
