Top level talks to avoid a bank holiday bus strike have ended - and this weekend's strike will go ahead as planned.
There will be no Dublin Bus or Bus Eireann buses on the streets for 48 hours over the long weekend.
Drivers are taking action in a row over plans by the National Transport Authority to sell one in ten route to private companies.
If the routes are put out to tender, the existing companies could make bids for them, but there is no guarantee they wouldn't lose out to another operator.

All sides have been invited to discuss their concerns at the Labour Relations Commission. It's hoped further action planned throughout May can still be avoided.
Dublin Bus services says services will 'operate as normal this evening', and each route will end at its normal time.
Bus lanes will not be open to private traffic throughout Friday.
Dublin's Lord Mayor, Christy Burke, has offered to hold talks in the Mansion House if they'll help. He's told 98FM that he wants those involved to "think of those who may be visiting people in hospitals or their loved ones, and they don't have a car and depend on public transport".
