A swimming ban at a beach in Killiney is being lifted.
Tests have shown the level of e-coli at White Rock has dropped below harmful levels.
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council says it has "consulted with the HSE and it is now intended to remove the advisory notices from this area" with immediate effect.
The results of the bathing water re-sample received today are at normal levels for White Rock, Killiney, Co. Dublin.
Local Councillor Cormac Devlin said "this is welcome news particularly in light of White Rock's neighbouring beach, Killiney which was just awarded the internationally recognised Blue Flag award for water quality only 2 weeks ago."
He has thanked Council staff for their "diligence in regularly conducting these tests to ensure that our bathing water is of a safe standard".
