The group Survivors of Symphysiotomy will vote later today on whether to accept the government's redress scheme.
The package announced this week will award basic compensation of 50 thousand euro to women who underwent the procedure - in which the pelvis was broken before or during childbirth.
Anyone who avails of the payments waives the right to take legal proceedings against any party - including the State.
The Survivor's group chairperson Marie O'Connor is recommending rejection of the deal.
