Motorists are advised to be aware of strong crosswinds when travelling on the countries roads this afternoon.
Strong to gale force, southwest winds are making driving conditions difficult for motorists across Ireland but they are due to moderate by later today.
Drivers are being asked to slow down and to allow extra time for their journey.
