16,000 homes and businesses are without power following high winds this morning and last night.
The south, south east and west of the country have experienced power outages as Storm Frank sweeps across the country today.
There is also a large fault on the system in Celbridge in Co. Kildare where more than 2,000 customers are without power.
ESB Networks is reminding people never to go near or touch fallen electricty lines, and to contact 1850 372 999 if they come across any fallen poles or lines.
Meanwhile, some ferry and rail services have also been affected - the 7:20am train service from Rosslare to Connolly has stopped at Wexford because of flooding.
There are also delays of up to 25 minutes on Cork to Heuston services.
On the roads - many national and regional routes are closed or impassable.
And people having been taking to Twitter to talk about the latest Storm;
Trees down, subsidence & debris on the road are some of the hazards u need to watch out for. Slow down & expect the unexpected #StormFrank
