Storm Frank has made landfall in the west of the country, and several weather warnings are in place around the country.
A Status Orange Alert for rainfall is in place in Wicklow, Galway, Cork, Kerry and Waterford, while a Status Yellow Alert is in effect across Leinster.
Water levels along the River Shannon are expected to rise, and locals living along the river are being warned of more flooding.

The Road Safety Authority is advising motorists to exercise caution if using coastal roads today.
A combination of high tides, high winds and heavy rain will result in flooding in parts and the RSA is urging road users to stay vigilant.
