Dublin Fire Brigade is helping residents whose houses have been flooded on the southside.
Nutgrove Avenue is totally impassible near the Grange Road junction, and there's also been flooding in Ballymun, Clonshaugh, Sandymount and Blakes Cross.
Met Eireann says there'll be a bit of a break before heavy rain returns again later today.
