Some up, some down as Dublin Bus fares change today

You might get a fright if you're getting the bus this morning, as some fares are going up.

If you paid two fifteen for your Leap Card fare, get used to saying 'two twenty-five please' from now on.

And if you pay with cash, that middle fare is an even three euro now.

But there's some good news if you live further out from town, as the two sixty Leap fare is dropping to two fifty.

The National Transport Authority's Dermot O'Gara said they're trying to 'simplify' fares.

But Solidarity Councillor Michael O'Brien, who represents Beaumont and Donaghmede on the northside, said fares need to be cut back dramatically to tackle climate change.
