An investigation's been launched after a skull was found on the northside.
The grim discovery was made yesterday afternoon.
The skull was found by workmen in a ditch in a field near Ravensdale farm off the Swords road.
The scene's been sealed off overnight and the state pathologist is expected to carry out tests today.
The results should reveal if the skull is an historical find, or if the remains are more recent.
Gardai say the pathology tests will dictate the course of their inquiry.
