Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams has welcomed the fact that the Taoiseach expressed impatience with the British government.

Speaking in Brussels yesterday, Mr. Kenny seemed irritated that London had still not outlined what its relationship will be like with the EU.

The party leader Gerry Adams says the Irish Government must step up to the plate as the British government moves closer to triggering article 50.

Mr Adams insists that the North should be given a special status within the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Sinn Féin says it's not planning for a return to Direct Rule in Northern Ireland.

It's leader Michelle O'Neill says everyone needs to get back to the principles of the Good Friday Agreement.

Speaking in Dublin today, she says they're working to reach agreement on power-sharing.
