It's reported gardai have singled out a man they suspect could be linked to four alleged sex assaults in Shankill.
Officers moved to reassure locals they are working on the case, after a public meeting was held last Thursday.
Residents had been calling for an increased garda presence near the DART station where the attacks and attempted assaults were believed to have taken place.
The Irish Independent reports undercover detectives were brought into the investigation and the garda helicopter was also deployed. It's understood a chief suspect has now been indentified, but no arrests have been made.
