There's been a sharp rise in the number of cases of common STIs in Ireland.

The European Centre for Disease Control says that over the last 10 years, gonorrhoea cases have increased fourfold.

It's also highlighting the incidence of chlamydia and syphilis, which it says have doubled.

Chlamydia's the most commonly reported sexually transmitted infection in the country.
