Metro North is back on track for the airport.
The government is considering a revised metro system to run between the city centre and the airport and swords.
The plan for Metro North had effectively been killed off due to the large costs a number of years ago.
However a revised less expensive version has been proposed with tracks runing overground for greater distances.
Several options have been presented to the government to link the city centre with the airport and Swords including the Dart, bendy buses and an extension of the Luas.
No final decision has been made and the plan will be revealed next week.
Yesterday the government announced that the Dart underground was off the table but an extension of the Dart to Balbriggan will be developed.
