Based on routine profiling, two vans that arrived on a ferry from Holyhead were stopped and searched.

The products have a retail value of over €2,700.

Separately, at Rosslare Port, Revenue officers seized €17,000 when, based on routine profiling, they stopped and searched a van that arrived on a ferry from Cherbourg.

The cash was detected with the assistance of Revenue Detector Dog Flynn.

The driver and passenger, two men in their 50s and 30s, were questioned and Revenue officers seized the cash suspecting it to be the proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity.
