Retailers Worry As Bus Strike Enters Day Two

Retailers are bracing themselves for a possible drop in customers later, as the national bus strike enters its second day.

Close to a million people were affected yesterday, when drivers at Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann walked out over plans to privatise up to 10 per cent of routes.

And with two out of every five shoppers in Dublin using the bus to reach the city centre, retailers are worried that footfall may suffer.
