A former male model and fitness coach has appeared in court over an alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend.
The 29 year old Finglas man is accused of assaulting the mum of two at a gym in Santry.
29 year old Francis Xavier Usanga from Lanesboro in Finglas appeared in court today dressed in a grey pinstriped blazer and dark blue jeans.
He is charged with assault causing harm to his former partner Emma Murphy at FX Fitness in Santry last July. Ms Murphy was present in court and watched the proceedings from the public gallery.
Mr Usanga hasn’t entered a plea at this stage and the case was adjourned to allow gardai time to provide disclosure of evidence. The court heard Mr Usanga, is currently unemployed.
The former model has appeared on TV3s Red Rock series along with RTE’s Today Show - where he appeared as a fitness coach.
He was granted free legal aid and is due back in court in May.
