Irish households produce 25-thousand tonnes of recyclable material over the Christmas period.
That's enough paper to save a forest 200 times the size of Croke Park and enough aluminium cans to reach from Dublin to New York when lined up.
Panda Recycling says their customers produce 30 percent more recycling at Christmas.
And spokesperson Paul O'Doherty says they'll accept extra waste over the holiday period:
