2.2 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport last month - making it the the busiest May ever in the 75 year history of the Airport.
The latest figures from the Dublin Airport Authority show passenger numbers grew by 13 per-cent with an extra 1.2 million passengers arriving and departing from the airport.
The figures also show 9 million people have used the airport since the start of the year with passenger volumes to North America and the Middle East up.
A spokesperson for the DAA is welcoming the figures and says that every one million additional passengers supports more than 1-thousand extra jobs in the industry.
