A helpline for teens received a record number of calls in June just 3 months after its state funding was axed.
Teenline based in Tallaght is only open for 25 hours a week, but volunteers have answered almost 10 thousand calls so far this year.
A total of 2035 of these were in June.
Abuse in the home and loneliness are the top two reasons to pick up the phone.
