Met Eireann has issued a rain weather warning for Dublin, Louth and Wicklow.
The yellow alert is in place until 7am tomorrow morning.
The forecaster said: "Heavy rain at times today and tonight will lead to potential accumulations of 30 to 50mm, largest on mountains."
There'll be heavy rain and strong winds this afternoon in Dublin with temperatures ranging between 4 or 5 degrees. Tonight will be blustery with more heavy rain and a continued risk of flooding. Highs of 3 or 4 degrees.
Thursday morning will be cold cloudy with some showery rain. It'll turn brighter in the afternoon with some scattered showers and moderate wind. Highs of around 9 or 10 degrees Celsius.
