The PSNI chief constable George Hamilton is to make a statement on the current status of the provisional IRA.
Delegations from Sinn Féin and other northern parties are meeting the Chief Constable today to discuss the investigation into the murder of Kevin McGuigan.
The PSNI believes the IRA may have been involved.
But Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly says the IRA is no longer active:
