Nurses from Beaumont's emergency department will picket the gates of the hospital this lunchtime to highlight severe overcrowding.
Members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation say they're gravely concerned by the issue with 729 patients waiting on trolleys at the hospital in November.
It comes after the group called on the Health Minister to declare overcrowding in accident and emergency departments a national emergency.
