A proposal to regenerate all of Moore Street will be debated by senators today.
The plan by Fianna Fail is to make the entire street a cultural quarter and not just preserve the Easter Rising buildings.
The National Monument at 14 - 17 Moore Street was acquired by the government to preserve the buildings and develop a 1916 Commemorative Centre.
The bills to regenerate the entire street has the backing of campaign groups and traders in the area.
