GSOC is investigating the death of a man after he became ill in garda custody in Dublin yesterday.
The man in his mid-twenties had been arrested and brought to Ballymun Garda Station in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man seemed unwell and was released from custody after a doctor was called.
However, while still at the garda station, his condition worsened and he was transferred by ambulance to the Mater Hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 4:30am.
