The Pro Life Campaign say that a Citizens Convention on the issue of abortion is only for show and that the government should take a step back from the issue.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has promised to convene a convention to debate the 8th Amendment, which provides the right to life of the unborn child.
However the Pro Life campaign claim that senior ministers such as Frances Fitzgerald and Paschal Donohoe, who reportedly support repealing the 8th, are out of touch with the electorate.
