Aer Lingus is marking International Women's Day by offering priority boarding to all women departing on UK and European flights from Irish airports.
Around 110 flights will see female passengers seated first, ahead of male travelers.
A flight departing from Dublin to New York later today will be managed by an all-female crew.
A number of international airlines are also getting involved in the initiative, urging more women and girls to consider a career in aviation.
In a statement Aer Lingus says it "employs many female cabin crew members it also has a proven track record of employing female pilots. It was the first airline in Europe to do so when Grainne Cronin flew her first flight as a qualified Aer Lingus pilot in 1978. Today 10% of Aer Lingus pilots are female, which is more than double the international airline industry average."
