Homeless groups have welcomed the planned introduction of rent caps but warn the move is only a 'temporary' solution.
Cabinet is expected to sign off on the plans in the coming weeks which would limit the amount that private landlords are allowed to charge tenants.
The controls would be linked to inflation and it's hoped they can stabilise the market which has seen rents go up 8.2 percent nationally over the past year.
