There are plans to build 1500 new homes on Dublin City Council land.
The proposal will be presented to city councillors in the coming weeks.
The council wants to use its own sites to provide a combination of social housing and private housing for rent.
The plan is to build almost 1500 public homes on 30 hectares of vacant land in the city.
5 sites have been identified for the scheme. three on the northside - in areas of Coolock, and the Malahide, Road.
The other two are in Ballyfermot and Cherry Orchard.
the council will look for Investors next month after the proposal is put is put to councillors.
