Oscar Pistorius will now not be released from jail this Friday as had been expected.
The Olympic athlete has served ten months of a five year sentence for shooting dead his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day 2013.
The man dubbed the Blade Runner was due to be released from jail this Friday, but that now won't happen.
The South African Justice Minister says Pistorius' release has been put on hold pending a review. The athelete will remain in prison 'for the forseeable future', after the decision to free him was described as 'premature'.
Reeva Steenkamp's family had been planning to appeal the sentence of manslaughter handed down to the model's killer.
