People at risk of suicide or self harm are being reminded that support services are still open over Christmas.
The HSE is urging anyone in crisis to get in touch with a hospital emergency department or an on-call doctor.
People in need of support are also being advised to contact the The Samaritans 24-hour free-phone helpline on 116-123.
