Parts Of Dublin Need To Improve In Litter League

Dublin is not quite shaking off its Dirty Old Town image.

The Irish Business Against Litter survey shows Dublin city and north inner city majorly need to clean up their act.

Church Street and Capel Street are particularly bad.

A part of Gardiner Street was described as in a "shocking state" and Spenser Dock suffered from huge amounts of litter.

However there has been an improvement of previous blackspot such as Irvine Terrace and Store Street.

The North Circular Road, Portland Row and Seville Place were also found to be cleaner than in the past.

Outside of the city, Tallaght and Dublin Airport are moderately littered but Dun Laoghaire was deemed cleaner than European Norms.
