More than 20 people are facing charges following an anti-water demonstration last year, during which the Tanaiste was trapped in her car.
During the rally in Jobstown last November, Joan Burton's car was unable to move for three hours when it was surrounded by protesters.
Over 20 people will now face charges including false imprisonment, violent disorder and public order offences.
Deputy Paul Murphy of the Anti-Austerity Alliance who was there on the day, says questions must be asked about why the information was leaked to the media before the people themselves were told of the charges.
