Just one in 7,000 Childline calls are reported to the Gardai.
Childline also revealed that it doesn't trace any calls and the service has not been involved in any prosecution cases, that it knows of.
Childline contacted Gardai 70 times between January and October of last year, despite receiving over half a million calls.
